Telit Communications - Appointment of Finance Director

Telit Communications plc a global leader in machine-to-machine ("m2m") communications announced that with immediate effect Mr Yosi Fait has been appointed to the board of dirctors as Finance Director.  The position gives Mr Yosi overall responsibility for Telit's Finance Strategy and Business Development functions.  Yariv Dafna has stepped down from the board but will continue as group CFO with responsibility for the day-to-day operations of Telit's Finance function, he will also continue to serve as director of Telits worldwide subsidiaries.

Macheen Inc. Announces New Marketing VP and Advisory Board

Thomas Hofstede, Multi-Tech Compliance Engineer, Appointed to Chair CTIA's M2M Committee

thomas_hofstedeMinneapolis, USA, 26 Jan. 2010 – Thomas Hofstede of Multi-Tech Systems, a leading global manufacturer of device networking products based in Mounds View, MN, was appointed to spearhead a newly-formed M2M (machine-to-machine) communications committee for an international telecommunications association.

As chair of the M2M subgroup for the CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association), Hofstede will help determine certification test plan requirements and guidance for devices enabling M2M communications, providing additional clarity for current test requirements when new technologies and applications are developed. The goals of such guidance are to ensure that tests are performed in the same manner on devices no matter which lab completes the testing. The efforts of this subgroup will serve the needs of CTIA certification, carriers and Original Equipment Manufacturers to the extent that it allows them to design, test and certify M2M devices in accordance with a harmonized over-the-air test method.

The CTIA, which represents wireless carriers and manufacturers and offers an equipment testing and a certification program, appointed Hofstede based on is extensive industry expertise. As a Compliance and Application Engineer, Hofstede ensures Multi-Tech’s products meet regulatory requirements and carrier certification, which are important components for enabling streamlined and quick-to-market M2M communications solutions for customers. Based on his 22 year career at Multi-Tech, he has developed a strong background in RF antenna design, device networking products and application support in areas including product safety in information technology, transportation, energy, remote monitoring, retail/financial, hazardous locations and the mobile health.
