Everything Everywhere Announces Key Alliance with M2M Enabler RACO Wireless

Everything Everywhere, the UK’s biggest communications company, today revealed a partnership with RACO Wireless, a leading machine-to-machine (M2M) partner and enabler in the USA. The agreement will provide RACO Wireless’ customers with access to Everything Everywhere’s network for their international operations, allowing them to quickly and easily launch M2M applications throughout Europe.
The move is the first of a number of partnerships which underline Everything Everywhere’s intent to be the partner of choice for companies looking to extend their M2M services internationally.

IQPC’s recent Connected Device Management 2011 conference in Jakarta addressed M2M developments in Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, India and Bangladesh. Fleet management and utility meter monitoring were identified as successful areas for M2M practices, and a number of approaches were outlined for operators to harness M2M opportunities.

Sierra Wireless to provide first 4G LTE devices for AT&T customers this summer

VANCOUVER, 12 July 2011 - Sierra Wireless today announced it will supply the first devices for AT&T's 4G LTE network. The AT&T Mobile Hotspot Elevate 4G (also known as the Sierra Wireless AirCard® 754S mobile hotspot) and the AT&T USBConnect Momentum 4G (the Sierra Wireless AirCard 313U USB modem) will enable mobile consumers and professionals to do more on-the-go from laptops, tablets, and other mobile devices. Both devices will be available to AT&T customers this summer.

IRVINE, Calif., 11 Jul 2011 - Location Based Technologies, Inc., a leading-edge service provider of personal, pet and asset GPS locators and devices, today announced it has entered a Commercial Agreement to provide the PocketFinder(R) family of location devices and services to the markets in Mexico and Latin America through Radiomovil Dipsa S.A. de C.V.
Under the terms of the Agreement, PocketFinder(R)'s family of products will be integrated into Telcel's M2M network and Location Based Technologies, Inc., will sell devices directly to Telcel, Radio Movil DIPSA (America Movil).

Verizon Wireless Expands Machine-to-Machine Product Suite with Launch of TeleNav Asset Tracker™

BASKING RIDGE, N.J., and SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 23, 2011 - Verizon Wireless and TeleNav, Inc. today announced the availability of TeleNav Asset Tracker. The product provides enterprise customers, utilizing location-based services (LBS) enabled wireless devices, with near real-time location information, as well as critical activity alerts, for cargo, delivery trucks or other mobile assets.
TeleNav Asset Tracker relies on the Verizon Wireless data network to enable machine-to-machine (M2M) data transfer between the company's portable monitoring devices and TeleNav's servers, making the data available to organizations via a secure, Web-based portal. With devices in place inside shipments or on mobile assets, management is able to use TeleNav's portal to monitor the location of assets and manage device properties, such as enabling activity alerts.
